Lauzon East

Rates

Lauzon East is a four cottage housekeeping resort located at 1055 Bayview Lane, just outside of Algoma Mills, Ontario, Canada. With 43 acres of property, Lauzon East offers approximately 900 feet of water frontage onto Wettlaufer Bay, which connects to Lake Lauzon. This includes a public boat launch ramp just 30 seconds up the road, four housekeeping cottages, staff on site 24/7, UV filtered water, docks for your boat, and access to the snowmobile/ATV trail. Each cottage is fully furnished and has its own complete kitchen, fresh linens and towels provided if needed, large windows, personal deck BBQ, and fire pit. The cottages were once used to house workers and executives of the Pronto Mine, which was located approximately 1 km East down the Trans-Canada Highway 17, and that was in business until 1960.

RENTALS

Lauzon East currently has one boat to rent weekly or daily:

​

14 foot aluminum boat with electric start 20hp 4stroke motor and fish finder

Daily rental- $75 - gas is paid for by renter

Weekly rental - $350 - first tank of gas free

Other Important Information

  • When you book with us we will send you an invoice and a contract to fill out and sign to the email address you provide to us.

  • A $50 deposit for each person staying will be required 

  • Reservations are not complete until your deposit is received

  • We currently only accept email transfers for deposits. Once you arrive, we accept cash or E transfer for your remaining balance.

  • All rates are in Canadian funds

  • Weekly rates are for Saturday to Saturday stays May 1- September 30

  • Check in is 4pm. Check out is 10am.

  • All rates are subject to 13% HST

  • Deposit is 100% refundable if you cancel 60 days in advance  
    Deposit is 50% refundable if you cancel 30 days in advance  
    Deposit is non-refundable if you cancel less than 30 days in advance 

  • The cottage(s) you rent are not party cottages

  • Cottages are expected to be clean and tidy when you leave

  • Any damage or breakage to the cottages and contents, boats or outside equipment such as BBQ that is not reported and not on accident will be the responsibility of the cottage guests to pay for damages 

  • Life jackets must be worn by ALL guests who use one of our boats. NO ONE under 18 will be allowed to operate boats or motors.

  • If you are fishing on our property or in one of our boats, you are expected to have an up-to-date fishing license and boating license

  • Pets are allowed at Lauzon East. Please keep your pet by your side when outside and clean up after your pet. We are in bear country and we are not responsible if your pet goes missing or gets injured. No pets on the furniture please.

  • All children must always be supervised.

  • There are no lifeguards on duty, please swim at your own risk.

  • Please do not disturb the wildlife

  • All guests are required to maintain reasonable quietness after 11pm - you will not be the only guests in this area. Please be respectful of this rule

  • Please respect any fire bans

  • If there are no fire bans in place, please monitor your fire and put it out completely before going into your cottage at night. DUE TO LOCAL BY-LAWS STATING THAT FIRES MUST BE ATTENDED TO AT ALL TIMES, AND ONLY ACTIVE 2 HOURS BEFORE SUNSET UNTIL 2 HOURS AFTER SUNRISE. WE ARE IN AN AREA WHERE FOREST FIRES ARE A POSSIBILITY. IF FIRES ARE FOUND UNATTENDED AT ANY TIME DURING YOUR STAY, THE FIRE WILL BE PUT OUT AND YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO CONTINUE USING THE FIREPITS. 

  • Lauzon East has the right to terminate any guests stay if there is undesirable behaviour or conduct being exhibited- without refunds - PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY ONE WARNING WILL BE GIVEN BEFORE TERMINATION

  • Lauzon East is not responsible for any misfortunes or accidents on or off the Lauzon East premises
